OUR STORY

Created by RDNs, for future RDNs

About Me

My name is Lauren, and I survived nutrition school… you can too!

The Nutrition Notes was born from my own journey through the dietetics program. I remember feeling completely overwhelmed during my first year, especially staring at metabolic pathways in biochemistry, thinking, "How am I ever going to remember all of this for the exam?"

I started creating my own visual study guides to stay afloat. They were my secret weapon: turning complex, chaotic information into something clean, clear, and actually understandable. These notes not only helped me get top grades, but they were born from the idea that no student should have to feel lost and alone in this journey.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, know this: you are not alone. Nutrition school is mentally and emotionally demanding. I truly hope these clear and structured guides help you stay organized and confident as you work through all the information — because trust me, there’s a LOT of it!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or just want to talk to someone who’s been through it. The struggle is part of the growth. We’re training to understand the science behind health, and that’s an incredible privilege.

You’ve got this, future professional!

I've Been in Your Shoes

Studying nutrition can feel isolating.

It’s not something that’s talked about a lot, but it should be. In those late nights of uncertainty, when you're by yourself staring at a mountain of textbooks, it's easy to feel like you're the only one struggling.

I remember studying in my room during my first semester thinking:

“Does anyone else find biochemistry this hard?”
and
“Maybe I’m not smart enough to become a dietitian.”

If I can offer any encouragement to you, it’s this:
You are NOT alone!

Every single nutrition and dietetics student has been in your shoes and has felt this way.

The Challenge Makes You Stronger

This program is not easy.

In fact, it may be one of the most challenging things you will ever do. But now, looking back, I realize how much I grew in those moments of struggle.

I grew in my critical thinking, my empathy for future clients, my time management, and my deep understanding of the human body.

Next time you feel those growing pains of nutrition school, know that you are being molded into the confident, knowledgeable professional you’ve always wanted to become.

You got this, future pro!
